About the Role
We are looking for an analytical and motivated individual to join Altair’s Corporate Finance & Treasury team.
This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for a graduate or someone at the beginning of their career who wants to develop their expertise in finance and consultancy while supporting organisations in the UK social housing and charity sectors. You will work alongside experienced colleagues, gaining hands-on exposure to financial modelling, market analysis, treasury operations, and client advisory work.
- Location: London, King’s Cross, office-based
- Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Line manager: Senior Consultant
- Salary: £30-35k depending on experience
What You’ll Be Doing
You will support the team to deliver a broad range of corporate finance and treasury services, including:
- Modelling and analysing debt and derivative products.
- Preparing monthly financial and market reports for clients.
- Analysing financial statements, forecasts, and project cashflows.
- Supporting the development of treasury strategies and policy documents.
- Accessing economic and market information through Bloomberg Terminal.
- Helping to manage ongoing client relationships and respond to client requests.
- Contributing to proposals and pitch books for new business.
- Monitoring developments in the social housing sector, including regulatory and market changes.
- Supporting quality assurance by checking financial analysis and reports for accuracy, consistency, and presentation.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across Altair on projects, product development, and wider corporate activities.

What We’re Looking For
You will have:
- An undergraduate degree, equivalent qualification, or relevant experience in an analytical subject such as finance, business, economics, or mathematics.
- Strong numerical and data analysis skills.
- Confidence using Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data analysis.
- The ability to present analytical findings clearly and visually.
- A basic understanding of treasury, finance, and accounting terminology.
- Strong written communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to explain technical information to both specialist and non-specialist audiences.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- The ability to manage competing deadlines across several projects.
- A collaborative approach and enthusiasm for working as part of a growing team.
- A genuine interest in social value and creating positive outcomes for clients and communities.
Experience in finance or consultancy is welcome but is not essential. Knowledge of Bloomberg Terminal, interest rate derivatives, Python, or Visual Basic would also be advantageous, although full prior experience is not required.
