We have an exciting opportunity for an Analyst or Senior Analyst to join our Digital Trust team, based in A&O Shearman’s Belfast Office.

What You Will Do

As part of the Digital Trust team you will be responsible for executing and overseeing key processes and maintaining core technology solutions of the identity and access management (IAM) function. IAM involves identity management, identity governance and administration, privileged access, non-human identity (NHI) management and conditional access at A&O Shearman.

You will work with other digital trust team members to ensure the security, compliance, and efficiency of access management processes and controls.

IAM (including PAM) tooling and platform management

  • Monitor IAM technology solution(s) for performance and security. Provide appropriate reports and dashboards for senior stakeholders.
  • Resolve issues relating to the IAM technology solution(s). Lead on problem resolution.
  • Complete requests and provide support to the end users across the IAM services.
  • Onboard new accounts to the privileged access solution and enforce controls.
  • Develop and deliver training materials and presentations on identity and access management best practices.

IAM processes and controls

  • Contribute to the development, maintenance, and improvement of end-to-end IAM controls, access policies, process flows, procedural documentation, and operational playbooks.
  • Implement and perform access certification campaigns in accordance with IAM policies. Proactively evolve Access and Entitlement Management through ongoing reviews, risk analysis, and operational excellence.
  • Perform changes required to support the delivery of the organizational Identity Lifecycle Management process. Ensure access is maintained according to principles of least privilege and Zero Trust Network Access.
  • Monitor privileged access activity and investigate suspicious behavior. Actively improve PAM procedures, establish repeatable patterns, communicate with other teams for collaborative problem resolution and improvement to the security of all critical platforms.
  • Monitor and validate ongoing compliance with IAM security requirements.
  • IAM request fulfillment supporting to the wider IT business function.
  • Champion identity and access management across the organisation and drive an evolved culture of risk awareness and mitigation.
  • Provide training and support to end users of IAM.

What You Will Have

  • Experience in IT and information security, with knowledge of Identity & Access Management (IAM).
  • Understanding of IAM technologies and practices, including identity governance, privileged access, authentication, and conditional access.
  • Experience with Microsoft identity platforms such as Active Directory and Entra ID.
  • Knowledge of security protocols, authentication methods, and authorisation frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • A proactive mindset and passion for staying at the forefront of cybersecurity and identity management.
