Purpose. Performance. People.
Joining CPP Investments means joining one of the world’s most admired and respected institutional investors to drive a single mandate: to deliver strong, sustainable returns for generations of Canadians.
With a long-term horizon and global reach, we deploy capital at scale across public and private markets. Our size, stability, and disciplined investment philosophy allow us to pursue complex opportunities and build enduring partnerships worldwide.
For our people, this means meaningful work with tangible impact, real opportunity, and collaboration with exceptional colleagues who value partnership and performance. Here, you’ll contribute to outcomes that matter alongside team members committed to excellence and shared success.
The Role
As an Analyst, Funds, you will support the evaluation, execution and monitoring of private equity fund commitments and direct equity co-investments alongside leading private equity partners. Working closely with colleagues from Associate through Managing Director, you will contribute to multiple concurrent deal processes through investment research, financial analysis, market assessments and due diligence, while supporting investment committee discussions and relationship development across the private equity ecosystem.
The role is designed to build a well-rounded skill set across quantitative analysis, critical thinking, investment judgement, leadership and communication.
The Team
CPP Investments’ Private Equity department invests globally across private equity funds, co-investments and direct opportunities, with a focus on long-term value creation. Within the department, the Funds team evaluates and executes private equity fund commitments ranging from $100 million to $1 billion and passive co-investments under $150 million alongside established sponsors in North America and Europe. The team manages more than $65 billion in carrying value and unfunded commitments and maintains relationships with approximately 40 core funds, along with more than 100 legacy and prospective funds.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
