Our Finance Team
Our Finance team is responsible for ensuring accurate financial operations and plays a crucial role in managing the Firm’s financial health. Our team handles a wide range of financial activities including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, taxation, partner compensation, payroll, treasury, and cash flow management to support the Firm’s strategic goals. We are responsible for inventory management including billing and collections, and analysis of client, matter, and timekeeper profitability. We oversee statutory accounting and ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards. The Finance team also prepares financial statements, reports, and analysis to provide insights into the Firm’s financial performance. We work closely with other functions to monitor expenses, optimize financial processes, and implement cost-saving initiatives. Through meticulous financial management and strategic planning, the Finance team ensures the Firm’s financial stability and supports its growth objectives.
Global Pricing Compliance Analyst
The Global Pricing Compliance Analyst will be part of a team responsible for making sure that matters are opened and maintained in accordance with applicable client fee agreements and the Firm's pricing guidelines. This includes reviewing engagement letters and fee agreements, validating the financial data in New Business Intake forms, and ensuring accurate set-up and ongoing maintenance within the Firm's Practice Management system. The role is central to mitigating financial risk, supporting revenue integrity, and underpinning our strategic pricing objectives.
Working closely with various teams, including but not limited to, the Pricing team, Billing and Revenue teams, Legal Project Managers, Business Development, and Regional Finance teams, the Global Pricing Compliance Analyst will act as a key point of coordination for client and matter rate agreement queries. The role also maintains the Client Agreement database and supports reporting on client and matter rates to stakeholders across the Firm.
We are keen to meet people who work most comfortably in a fast-paced environment, and who can review, analyze, and manage a busy schedule of compliance activity with multiple moving parts. We expect our Global Pricing Compliance Analysts to be comfortable interpreting financial information, identifying issues in processes, and collaborating with stakeholders to resolve them.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring clients and matters are set up within the Firm’s Finance System in line with all agreed financial terms, subject to internal approvals, policies, and best practices.
- Reviewing financial arrangements included in engagement documentation including engagement letters, proposals, and outside counsel guidelines to understand agreed client terms.
- Reviewing the financial data contained in New Business Intake forms to ensure the matter rates and financial terms comply with client engagement letters, fee agreements, and outside counsel guidelines.
- Establishing dates for review of client and matter rates to ensure ongoing compliance and accuracy.

Pricing Guidelines and Approvals
- Reviewing client and matter agreed financial terms, including discounts, to confirm they fall within the thresholds set out in the Firm's Pricing Guidelines.
- Ensuring that the appropriate approvals have been obtained in line with Firm protocols. When necessary, work with Partners and approvers to ensure approvals are obtained and escalate and raise issues where required approvals are missing or incomplete.
Data Integrity and Rate Management
- Working with the Data Control team to ensure that rate structures and fee agreements have been properly implemented in line with client agreements.
- Maintaining the Firm's Client Rate Agreement database, ensuring that information is accurate, up to date, and reflects agreed terms.
- Reviewing re-activated matters to ensure that financial set-ups remain accurate and compliant with underlying agreements.
- Proactively reaching out to Partners to inform them when rate agreements are expiring and rates can be uplifted.
- Ensuring the terms of Global Fee Agreements are followed by all Partners and matters across the firm.
Reporting and Analytics
- Producing and distributing standard and ad hoc reports in relation to client and matter rates for use by Pricing, Finance, and other stakeholders.
- Proactively identifying areas of vulnerability in internal processes and compliance systems, using data to highlight risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Supporting leadership by contributing to pricing compliance updates, including summaries of issues, trends, and remediation activity.
Stakeholder Engagement and Support
- Communicating with the Pricing team, the Data Control team, regional Finance teams, and matter Partners to clarify requirements, resolve issues, and ensure alignment on pricing compliance matters.
- Acting as a point of contact for ad hoc queries from other business services teams and legal professionals on topics within the team's remit. Building strong working relationships across business services and legal teams, supporting a culture of pricing discipline and financial integrity.
Required Skills and Experience
- A university degree is preferable but not essential.
- Law firm or professional services experience preferred.
- Flexible and enthusiastic, with the ability to manage your own workload and priorities to meet deadlines.
- Exceptional numerical skills, including the ability to calculate rates and percentages accurately.
- Ability to multi-task and work well in a high-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- Excellent interpersonal and team working skills, with the ability to work effectively at all levels within the organisation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience in reviewing client agreements, working capital, or revenue management, or legal finance.
- Experience working in a global law firm or other partnership structure.
- Strong understanding of law firm economics and how pricing impacts profitability.
- Experience working with practice management systems or financial systems in a legal or professional services context.

Location
This role is based in our London office. Our standard office hours are 09:30–18:00, with a current requirement for 4 days in the office per week.
