Are you an experienced HR Advisor looking to make an impact in a fast-paced operation? Can you build strong relationships and confidently support managers through employee relations matters? Do you enjoy coaching managers and helping create a positive colleague experience?

Join GXO as an HR Advisor and become a key member of the HR team supporting our Amazon operation in Avonmouth. Working closely with managers, colleagues, and trade union representatives, you'll provide practical HR support across a wide range of employee relations matters while helping to create a positive and engaging workplace. This is a varied role offering exposure to recruitment, absence management, investigations, performance management, employee engagement, and change initiatives, making it an excellent opportunity to further develop your HR career within a fast-paced logistics environment.

This is a full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract working Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:00.

  • We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £40,000 per annum, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays).

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Advise managers on employee relations matters, including absence, disciplinary, and grievance cases.
  • Build strong relationships with colleagues, managers, and trade union representatives.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and employee lifecycle activities.
  • Monitor investigations, probation reviews, and absence trends to ensure a consistent approach.
  • Help drive colleague engagement initiatives and support HR projects across the site.

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • Previous HR Advisor experience, including managing employee relations cases.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to support managers at all levels.
  • CIPD qualified, studying towards CIPD, or equivalent HR experience.
  • A proactive, organized approach with the ability to work independently and solve problems effectively.
