About this role

Based in London, this role delivers high-quality research, analysis, and execution support across live M&A mandates, contributing directly to the team's delivery and client outcomes. You'll hone your research, presentation, and analysis skills through experience in the end-to-end M&A process.

As an Analyst within Equiteq, you'll have significant responsibility, advancement opportunities, client access and opportunities to work on a global platform.

Knowledge & Experience

  • At least 3 months of experience in a relevant internship or role (e.g. M&A, investment banking, or transaction services).
  • Qualification to degree level in an appropriate discipline.
  • Exemplary academic record and demonstrated commitment to achievement.
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills, including knowledge of financial accounting.
  • Ability to translate analysis into clear, concise slides and written materials.
  • Demonstrable intent to drive excellence through rigour and attention to detail across work tasks.
  • Highest quality communication skills with clients as well as internal teams.
  • Excellent industry analysis and ability to abstract trends and insights from primary data.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications and knowledge of specific investment banking databases (e.g. CapitalIQ, Pitchbook) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support preparation of operating and valuation models, company analyses, information memoranda, presentations and marketing documents in support of sell-side transactions.
  • Deliver reliable day-to-day execution support across all phases of live deals, including analysis, drafting materials, diligence preparation, process coordination, and timeline management.
  • Produce well-structured, insight-driven industry analysis and materials that clearly communicate key trends, value drivers, and competitive dynamics.
  • Contribute to business development activities through preparation of pitchbooks, research, list building, preparation of outreach materials, and supporting early-stage engagement.
