Overview
The Investment team, a single team across both preferred equity and credit strategies, is responsible for the origination and execution of investments and consists of more than 30 professionals across New York and London.
Under the supervision of mid-level investment professionals, the Investment Analyst will take a role in sourcing, analysis, execution and monitoring of both preferred equity and credit investments, working on both US and European transactions as required.
Role & Responsibilities
Screen & analyse investment opportunities:
- Review preliminary information and conduct due diligence on underlying portfolio (by fund and/or company)
- Analysis of underlying portfolio managers, strategy, track record and investor base
- Build companies’ performance projections and cash flow models
- Assist in structuring and pricing of transactions and return underwriting
- Write summary investment memos and help the team to present to investment committee
- Assist in transaction execution and legal process

Monitoring existing portfolio:
- Review information received on existing investments
- Coordinate with investee managers when required
- Write investment reviews for quarterly reporting
Deal origination & marketing:
- Support the preparation of deal sourcing, fundraising, and investor update materials
- Screen, identify, and build relationships with appropriate deal flow targets
- Track and analyse performance of origination and marketing strategies
- Prepare materials for and participate in deal origination meetings
Other:
- Support the company’s values and culture
- Participate in strategic sessions and company offsites
- International travel as required for deal origination, monitoring and execution purposes

Skillset required
- One (1) to three (3) years of experience in investment banking, leveraged finance, private credit, private equity secondaries, and/or equivalent experience
- Excellent academic credentials
- Outstanding analytical skills and attention to detail
- Good financial knowledge and basic aptitude in financial modelling
- A critical thinker with an active interest in alternative investment space
- A team player who is able to work in a collaborative, fast paced environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with willingness to present to small groups
- Fluency/professional proficiency in English with other languages as a plus
- Able to demonstrate honesty, integrity, and professionalism
