Job Description

What is the opportunity?

As a Settlement Analyst, you will settle or process all transactions assigned on a daily basis in a timely and accurate manner.

What will you do?

  • Portray a high level of knowledge of International Settlements and its various functions
  • Have a broad knowledge of the ADP (Broadridge) systems, third party custodian systems
  • Be able to reconcile account differences and issues and articulate to the proper channels what the issues are
  • Have excellent communication skills in order to work with coworkers and internal clients alike
  • Provide a high level of customer service
  • Have the ability to deal with high volumes of trades to ensure settlement
  • Reduce risk and cost to the firm by escalating all potential issues to management
  • Be a team player who collaborates well with associates and management
  • Strictly adhere to all firm policies and procedures
  • Have proficient skills in Windows-based products such as Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Have the ability to multitask in a pressured environment
  • Interface with various business lines and branches along with counter-party operations teams to rectify any settlement discrepancies
  • Have a strong knowledge of various products such as equities
  • Be available to work a 7.5-hour day (37.5 hours per week) +1-hour break, occasional overtime required. Within North American business hours (8 am - 5 pm EST)
  • Required to know a minimum of one back-up desk

Must Have's

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent
  • 0 – 1 year of relevant experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good computer skills
  • Ability to work independently and to solve problems using knowledge and experience
  • Good working knowledge of internal trading, account, and settlement systems including: BPS/ADP, CITI Velocity, DTC, etc. where required
