Purpose of Job

Working under the guidance of the Principal and Associates in PS&A, the Analyst provides operationally excellent case management support across staff health, absence management, performance improvement and associated employee relations activities. The role is responsible for delivering high-quality case administration and support, in compliance with Bank policies and reinforcing effective people practices.

The role supports PS&A, ER and HR leadership by producing accurate people data, analysis and management information. The role holder identifies operational issues, analyses data and trends and implements practical solutions that support the continuous improvement and development of PS&A services.

The role also contributes to strategic people initiatives, transformation programmes and system enhancements that enhance operational effectiveness, customer experience and service delivery across HR.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities

Case Management - Operational and Advisory Support

  • Contribute to effective management of employee absence and medical leave processes.
  • Coordinate Occupational Health and Working Incapacity referrals, supporting effective case management, risk mitigation and a positive employee experience.
  • Prepare case documentation, timelines, case summaries and draft correspondence.
  • Monitor medical leave absence and create medical leave entitlement calculations, draft and issue letters.
  • Maintain accurate case records within case management systems and HR platforms.
  • Escalates risks, vendor delays, process concerns and complex matters appropriately to ensure timely resolution.
  • Manage PS&A group inbox and categorise correspondence in a timely manner, escalating urgent issues as required.
  • Support managers and employees by responding to queries and facilitating access to relevant policies, procedures and support resources.
  • Ensure accurate completion of HR tasks and payroll instructions to minimise operational risk.
  • Contributes to the development of internal PS&A staff guides on processes and ensures timeliness of relevant internal updates on intranet pages.

Data Management, Reporting & Insight

  • Produce regular and ad hoc reporting relating to employee health, absence, performance and people-related metrics.
  • Analyse trends, identify anomalies and provide meaningful insights to support decision making.
  • Develop clear and engaging data visualisations in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Manages PS&A-specific case reporting system by monitoring input data quality and proactively identify opportunities to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency and acts data governance steward for the team.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements, prepare and validate data and identify basic trends and anomalies.

Vendor and Stakeholder Management

  • Acts as the primary day-to-day contact point for external vendors, maintaining effective working relationships with Occupational Health, Incapacity Insurance and Mediation providers.
  • Build effective working relationships with external suppliers driving efficient and effective supplier management.
  • Coordinate meetings, track and recommend actions and monitor service delivery KPIs.
  • Identify and escalate service or operational concerns by preparing analysis and service improvement actions.
  • Support contract reviews and vendor performance discussions with PODD and CVM.

Continuous Improvement and Records Management

  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve service delivery and enhance data quality through continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in system testing, process reviews and implementation of new tools and ways of working.
  • Contribute to compliance, governance and risk management processes within PS&A.
  • Maintain accurate and auditable records in Bank systems in accordance with Bank standards.
  • Support records management activities, audits and documentation reviews.
  • Identify, document and report operational risks and incidents.
  • Ensure appropriate version control and document management practices.
  • Undertakes ad hoc ER/PS&A projects and activities as required.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Experience supporting employee relations, staff health, wellbeing, absence management or HR advisory processes.
  • Good understanding of HR policies and guidelines, knowledge of HR cyclical activities preferred.
  • Strong collaboration skills and commitment to team success.
  • Effective prioritisation, organisation and ownership of work.
  • Sound judgement with the ability to recognise when escalation is required.
  • Ability to communicate sensitive information with professionalism, neutrality and discretion.
  • Analytical skills to interpret and validate data and deliver insight.
  • Demonstrated proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to build relationships and work effectively across teams.
  • Good stakeholder engagement skills, including effective questioning and active listening.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy.
  • Ability to challenge constructively, identify solutions and influence improvements.
