Contributes to the overall success of Prime Services (PS) and Collateral Management & Funding (CMF) in Europe ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
Is this role right for you?
In this role, you will:
- Champions a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
- Contribute to the growth of PS/CMF business in Europe with a specific focus on synthetic securities financing, stock borrowing and lending, repo trading along with backup of the client-facing flow functions, encompassing swap and cash execution.
- Primary backup for liaising with North American colleagues and European pricing group to ensure continued consistent service for client pricing. This will cover pricing liaison across jurisdictions as well as term sheet preparation.
- Aid in optimising financial resource utilization. By strategically allocating resources, the trading desk can maximise revenue generation opportunities. This approach aligns with regulatory metrics ensuring compliance while maximising returns.
- Responsible for provision of funding to Capital Markets business units in both secured and unsecured markets, responsible for all Capital Markets access to Treasury locally.
- Be a key member of the PS/CMF team and contribute towards idea generation, strategic development, and overall risk management. Contribute to a high-performance environment and foster an inclusive work environment, supporting the vision, values, and business strategy of the team and the firm globally. Develop desk infrastructure and processes when required.
- Balance Sheet/Limits – manage efficiently the balance sheet usage locally and globally. Work with TFRM and reporting teams.
- Continue to develop and support a cross-markets client plan ensuring effective collaboration across the bank in an effort to support the initiative to capitalize on products per client.
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk, and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook, and the Code of Conduct.
- Contributes to a high-performance environment and fosters an inclusive work environment, supporting the vision/values/business strategy for the team.

We'd love to work with you if you have:
- Ability to hit revenue targets while managing risks within authorized limits.
- An awareness of the markets and products traded, risks assumed, and systems used.
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with management at all levels, with front, middle, and back offices, and with relevant support groups.
- An awareness of the industry, the products, and the evolving regulatory landscape.
- The role requires the person to be personable and build a good relationship with clients and internal desk relationships.
