Inviting applications for the role of Fraud Analyst_English_Onsite Milton Keynes!

Responsibilities

  • Investigate potential credit card fraud cases using alerts generated by fraud detection systems;
  • Respond to account inquiries from merchants and cardholders for one or more assigned clients in line with SLA-defined fraud alerts;
  • Review fraud detection queues and identify questionable transactions through account and transaction analysis;
  • Analyze account, payment, and transaction history to support fraud investigations and determine appropriate outcomes;
  • Contact customers and merchants to obtain additional information regarding suspected fraudulent charges;
  • Complete lost or stolen card reports, including blocking compromised accounts to prevent further losses and fraudulent activity;
  • Transfer compromised accounts and implement appropriate fraud prevention measures;
  • Create credit card replacement orders and complete related shipping materials;
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation of investigation activities, findings, and case resolutions;
  • Support assigned clients by responding to fraud alerts and account inquiries within agreed service levels;
  • Identify suspicious cardholder and merchant activity and take appropriate action to minimize fraud losses;
  • Apply fraud investigation techniques and transaction analysis methodologies to support decision-making;
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of fraud techniques, internal policies, procedures, and external regulations;
  • Leverage peer expertise and operational guidance to effectively investigate and resolve fraud cases;
  • Ensure compliance with fraud prevention controls, internal policies, and regulatory requirements;
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing fraud detection and operational efficiency;
  • Deliver exceptional quality service standards/KPI’s and maintain accurate and up-to-date investigation records.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • Typically a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; 2-4 years of previous fraud-related experience preferred;
  • Fluent in English;
  • Substantial understanding of fraud operations and the ability to apply knowledge across a broad range of activities;
  • Intermediate analytical skills and the ability to identify potential fraudulent activity through account and transaction reviews;
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate clearly with cardholders, merchants, and internal teams;
  • Ability to work on routine to moderately difficult assignments and use judgment to resolve issues or make recommendations;
  • Ability to work independently with limited daily instruction while following general guidance on new assignments;
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Strong documentation and record-keeping skills;
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships;
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage workload to meet deadlines and service levels;
  • Good IT literacy and the ability to work effectively across multiple systems and applications;
  • Willingness to continue learning fraud detection techniques, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience in fraud prevention, fraud investigations, banking, payments, or financial services environments;
  • Experience investigating suspicious transactions, account takeovers, or potential card fraud activity;
  • Knowledge of fraud detection methodologies, fraud prevention techniques, and transaction monitoring processes;
  • Understanding of credit card operations, cardholder account management, and merchant services;
  • Ability to identify fraud trends, transaction anomalies, and emerging fraud risks;
  • Experience working within SLA-driven and KPI-focused operational environments;
  • Ability to take ownership of investigations and make recommendations based on sound judgment and analysis;
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving capabilities;
  • Experience working with fraud management, case management, or transaction monitoring systems;
  • Good computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and other business applications;
  • Good and quick adaptation to internal systems, fraud trends, regulatory requirements, and operational procedures.
