Role Responsibilities

Pemberton Asset Management is a leading provider of private credit strategies. The Product Strategy & Development team structures and executes a wide range of structured finance and financing solutions backed by corporate credit. This includes CLOs, asset-backed and NAV financings, rated note feeders, collateralised fund obligations (CFOs) and GP-led continuation vehicles, each offering institutional clients efficient access to Pemberton investment strategies.

The team has a flat structure, so the analyst works directly with both Managing Directors from day one, as well as other members of the team. We invest heavily in the apprenticeship of this role so that the analyst can quickly run their own workstreams.

  • Build and maintain the cash flow models various asset backed facilities across CLOs, warehouses, term financing, rated note feeders. Responsibilities include creating modelled returns and scenario analysis for investors, tranche sizing scenario and stress analysis
  • Take live transactions from first structuring analysis through to closing, and then helps manage the product throughout its life
  • Track the CLO and asset-backed market — deal terms, spreads, structures, what peers are issuing — and use this market intelligence to inform structuring decisions and new product ideas across Pemberton's platform
  • Prepare investor materials: transaction overviews, pitch decks, fee and economics workups, and tailored responses for investor diligence and roadshows
  • Work alongside counsel, rating agencies and the internal deal team as a transaction moves into documentation
  • Build working knowledge of the regimes that shape these structures: AIFMD and the EU and UK Securitisation Regulations, and the insurance capital regimes relevant to investors
  • Draft new product papers and investment committee memoranda for structured financing transactions and present them to Pemberton's oversight committees

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
