We are working with a leading global legal organisation to recruit an experienced Analyst Programmer to join their Digital Practice Solutions team in Glasgow. This is a unique opportunity to join the business at a pivotal stage following a major merger and play a key role in shaping the future of its technology landscape.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining technical expertise with stakeholder engagement. You'll work across business-critical systems, collaborating with Business Analysts, technical teams, and senior stakeholders to deliver strategic projects while supporting key operational platforms.
What You will Be Doing
- Acting as a technical lead across Elite 3E and other core business applications.
- Supporting, enhancing, and developing business-critical financial and operational systems.
- Working closely with Business Analysts and stakeholders to deliver technical solutions that drive business value.
- Taking ownership of projects from design and development through to testing, deployment, and support.
- Participating in major merger and integration programmes that are critical to the firm's future success.
- Contributing to cloud migration initiatives as applications move from on-premise environments into the cloud.
- Playing an active role in technology roadmap discussions and future systems strategy.
- Supporting AI-driven initiatives and helping shape the firm's approach to AI adoption.
- Providing third-line support and assisting with complex application issues where required.

What we are Looking For
Essential
- Experience supporting or developing enterprise financial or business-critical systems.
- Strong SQL Server and SQL scripting experience.
- Experience with Microsoft development technologies including .NET and/or VB.NET.
- Knowledge of XML technologies, including XSLT and XPath.
- Strong understanding of application architecture and solution design.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to engage confidently with senior business leaders and technical teams.
- Experience working within complex enterprise environments.
Highly Desirable
- Elite 3E experience or experience with Aderant, SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, or similar financial systems.
- Legal, professional services, or financial services sector experience.
- Application integration and third-party platform experience.
- Experience working on cloud transformation programmes.
- Exposure to enterprise AI initiatives or intelligent automation projects.
