Venture Search Secondary Advisory Team Opportunity

Venture Search is partnered with an independent Placement Agent, who are looking to expand their Secondary Advisory team. Focused on LP-led transactions within LMM PE, you will have exposure to the full deal lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline; a relevant postgraduate qualification is a plus.
  • Experience: 1.5–3 years of relevant experience in investment banking, secondaries investments, or secondary advisory. More senior candidates can be considered for an Associate-level position.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of financial statements, valuation methodologies, and corporate finance principles.
    • Strong financial modelling skills, including proficiency in Excel.
    • Ability to analyze and interpret large amounts of financial and operational data and translate findings into clear conclusions.
    • Excellent research and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail.
    • Strong proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel, with the ability to produce high-quality client-ready materials.
    • Understanding of private markets and secondary transactions is highly desirable.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Support the execution of secondary market transactions.
  • Conduct detailed financial, commercial, and market analysis of companies, sectors, and investment opportunities.
  • Build and maintain financial models, including valuation analyses, transaction models, and return analyses.
  • Perform company and industry research, including analysis of market trends, competitive positioning, business performance, and growth drivers.
  • Assist in preparing investment memoranda, teasers, information materials, valuation analyses, and client presentations.
  • Support due diligence processes by coordinating information requests, reviewing data, and identifying key investment considerations.
  • Analyze potential investment opportunities and assess risk/return profiles, liquidity considerations, and exit scenarios.
  • Track secondary market activity, transaction trends, valuation movements, and relevant investor sentiment.
  • Participate in client and investor interactions, including preparation for meetings, calls, and presentations.
  • Maintain accurate transaction databases, market intelligence, and internal records.
