About our client
We are working with a well capitalised, London-based family office. This family office operates a dynamic portfolio which contains strategic businesses and fund investments. This small and dynamic team have a keen interest in developing juniors and want to hire someone with an entrepreneurial spirit and strong work ethic.
What the job involves
- Research and analysis into candidate direct investment opportunities, both public and private, as well as candidate private equity and hedge fund opportunities
- Analysing financial statements and financial modelling
- Researching industries and markets
- Preparation of discussion materials, including presentations to partners, quarterly reporting and board presentations
- Existing portfolio monitoring, research, risk measurement and valuation
- Assisting the team in the formulation of asset allocation strategies
- Supporting senior investment team members with analysis and materials required for investment discussions and decision-making
- Undertaking ad hoc investment, market and corporate finance analysis as required

Who we are looking for

- A high degree of numerical, verbal and analytical competence
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to think strategically. A genuine interest in investments, businesses and financial markets
- Strong financial analysis and modelling capability
- Intellectual curiosity and an ability to research unfamiliar companies, sectors and investment themes
- Strong self-motivation and an ability to work independently while operating effectively as part of a small team
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- High standards of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint and an interest in using AI
- A numerical, financial, economics or science-based degree would be advantageous
- Experience gained at a bank, fund, family office or similar investment environment would also be welcome
