ANALYST, STR - LONDON

Role Description
STR seeks a London-based Analyst to support global forecasting efforts, ensuring continued leadership in hotel performance data worldwide. This position is ideal for an efficient, data-driven thinker with expertise in hospitality analytics and global market performance forecasting.
The analyst will collaborate with a global forecast team to produce quarterly hotel performance forecasts and actionable narratives.
Responsibilities
Forecasting
- Assist the Forecast Director in producing STR’s Market Forecasts outside of North America.
- Develop forecasting methodologies reflecting region-specific macroeconomic trends and hotel performance insights.
- Conduct market research with internal teams and external partners, adjusting projections based on current economic and demand conditions.
- Drive knowledge of global hotel performance and industry trends, producing compelling storylines to explain data projections.
- Communicate findings through written reports, verbal updates, and stakeholder engagements.

Data Analysis, Visualisation & Storytelling
- Position STR as an industry thought leader, transforming data into ** actionable insights** for conferences, meetings, and client discussions.
- Contribute to blogs, articles, and white papers to educate clients and stakeholders on hospitality dashboards.
Data Integrity, Security & Quality
- Keep data quality high with robust review processes, identifying and troubleshooting anomalies and errors within datasets.
- Uphold STR’s data confidentiality policies and industry standards.
Professional Development
- Maintain transparent communication with Product teams and global analysts across different time zones.
- Stay current on hotel industry trends and performance-driving news.
- Ensure alignment with CoStar brand values in all customer interactions.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of the hotel industry; industry experience a plus.
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of Power BI and SSMS preferred.
- Customer-focused mindset with strong relationship-building abilities; comfortable presenting to clients.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities, working environments, and tight deadlines across global teams.
- Exceptional analytical, research, and storytelling skills, with proficiency in data visualization and decision-making.
- Self-motivated and organised with experience managing multiple projects independently or collaboratively.
- Bachelor’s degree and minimum 2 years of relevant work experience (or equivalent).
