About the role
You’ll help drive technical product development on key projects, primarily air fresheners. Working with experts from different teams, you’ll use GCMS, FTIR, Karl Fischer and air sampling techniques to sample, analyse, interpret and evaluate test results to provide quality data, allowing for informed decisions to be made in a project. Ultimately, you’ll help us create new products. Products that solve real problems and improve the lives of millions of people globally.
Your responsibilities
- Have an understanding of, and operate multiple scientific instruments including GCMS, FTIR and Karl Fischer.
- The preparation of samples and subsequent analysis using the instrumental techniques available.
- Collaborate effectively with development teams to effectively report results of analyses.
- Apply basic laboratory techniques and maintain hands-on bench competence.
- The ability to use your own problem-solving skills to assess complex problems and investigate/devise solutions.
- Maintain SOP’s and Health and safety documentation for laboratory procedures.
- Ensure all activities comply with legislative, Health & Safety, and environmental requirements, promoting laboratory best practices.

The experience we're looking for
- Educated to degree level in a scientific subject, preferably chemistry.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify, assess, and communicate risks.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Ability to analyse and interpret laboratory data, including statistical evaluation of results.
- Strong analytical mindset with intellectual curiosity and willingness to explore new ideas.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with confident presentation ability.
