Job Title

HireStakes is working with a fast growing subscription entertainment platform that has recently launched internationally and has an ambitious product and tech roadmap ahead.

They're looking for an Analytics Engineer to join their lean data team, reporting to the Head of Data. This is a varied role covering the full data lifecycle, from ingestion and modelling through to dashboards and insight.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test and maintain end to end data pipelines
  • Build clean, tested and documented data models using dbt and BigQuery
  • Write Python scripts to extract data from third party APIs and orchestrate workflows
  • Build reports, dashboards and KPI scorecards in Looker Studio and Metabase
  • Work with engineering, product and commercial teams to turn business requirements into data solutions
  • Identify data quality issues and performance improvements across the data platform

  • Strong hands on experience with GCP, particularly BigQuery, Cloud Run and Datastream
  • Proficiency in dbt, including testing, documentation and dimensional modelling
  • Solid Python skills for data extraction and automation
  • Advanced SQL, including window functions, query optimisation and BigQuery cost management
  • Experience with Git and CI/CD workflows
  • Experience building dashboards in Looker Studio or Metabase
  • Experience in a scale up, ecommerce, subscription or consumer business is a plus
