Analytical Scientist, 12 month contract to begin Oct 2026

Location: Nottingham.
Salary: £30,975
Full time (4 day week).

As a multi-award winning formulation development CDMO, we help biotechs turn their badly behaved molecules into products which give them the best chance of success in preclinical studies, and beyond.

We develop formulations for novel drug candidates (small molecules and peptides) for various routes of administration including oral, ocular, IV, intranasal and topical. Our “Fast Futureproof Formulations” approach means we always start with an end in mind, developing products which enable molecules to be accelerated from discovery to clinic.

We are recruiting for an Analytical Scientist to join our team in Nottingham for a 12 month period as maternity cover.

Our Values

  • Give people an environment in which they can succeed.
  • Wellbeing over workload.
  • Start with an end in mind.
  • People and purpose over products and profits.
  • Think, think, do.

Our Behaviours

  • Be a captain
  • Be authentic
  • Be brave
  • Be creative
  • Be empathetic
  • Be engaging
  • Be kind
  • Be inspiring

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
