Tech Pipeline is looking for an Analytics Assistant
Tech Pipeline is looking for an Analytics Assistant to help resolve the operational drag within the data systems of a leading British investment firm. This firm deals with high volumes of data that often get stuck in manual workarounds, causing delays in reporting and decision making. You will help us identify where their data reconciliation is failing and assist in updating the routing rules that keep their information moving. This is an entry-level position where you will work as part of a fully remote team to untangle these threads. You will focus on the seams between their existing systems, making sure that what their portfolio managers see matches what is actually happening in the back office.

What You Will Do
- Pull logs from various data sources to identify where discrepancies begin in the client's reporting cycle.
- Audit existing spreadsheets to find manual workarounds that can be replaced by better system configurations.
- Assist with the manual reconciliation of stale data during the initial cleanup phases of the project.
- Test new routing rules within the investment firm's platform to ensure data moves correctly between departments.
- Document every configuration change and logic update in a centralized decision log.
- Draft and update SOPs for data entry and reporting processes to ensure they match current system reality.
- Help monitor the first month of live operations after a system cutover to catch and fix new errors immediately.
- Update runbooks so the client team can maintain the system effectively once our engagement ends.
What You Bring
- A natural curiosity for how digital systems break and a desire to figure out why a number does not match.
- Basic familiarity with spreadsheet tools like Excel or Google Sheets, including an understanding of how to use common formulas.
- The ability to look at long lists of data and spot inconsistencies without losing focus.
- Strong writing skills and the ability to explain technical problems in plain English.
- A willingness to learn how to read system logs, database structures, and basic query logic.
- Comfort working independently in a fully remote environment while staying connected through written updates.
- A practical mindset that values finishing a task and documenting the result over abstract discussion.
