Analytics Engineer – Bristol

Location: Bristol (Hybrid)
Salary: £75,000 - £85,000 + Bonus / Benefits

About Our Client

Our client is a data-driven SaaS business investing in a modern analytics platform to improve decision-making across Product, Finance, Sales and Operations. They are looking for an Analytics Engineer to create trusted, scalable data models and analytics infrastructure.

The Role

You will sit between Data Engineering and Analytics, transforming raw data into reliable datasets that analysts and business teams can use confidently. You will help establish strong modelling, testing, documentation and data-quality practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain analytics-ready data models.
  • Transform raw data into trusted datasets for reporting and analysis.
  • Build reusable transformation pipelines using modern analytics tooling.
  • Implement automated data tests and improve data quality.
  • Work with analysts and stakeholders to define metrics and business logic.
  • Maintain clear documentation and data lineage.
  • Optimise warehouse performance and transformation workflows.
  • Support self-service analytics across the organisation.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering or advanced analytics roles.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience building data models.
  • Commercial experience with dbt or similar transformation tooling.
  • Knowledge of Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks or comparable platforms.
  • Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau or Looker.
  • Understanding of dimensional modelling and data-quality practices.
  • Python experience is beneficial but not essential.
