The Opportunity
I'm currently working with a leading global private equity firm that is looking to hire an experienced Analytics Engineer to join its data function.
The organisation manages a significant portfolio of investments across multiple sectors and operates across the US and Europe, providing the opportunity to work within a sophisticated investment environment where data and analytics play an important role in supporting decision-making.
This is a hands-on Analytics Engineering opportunity, with Microsoft Fabric being a key part of the technology environment. You'll work across data engineering, transformation, modelling and analytics, helping to build reliable and scalable data solutions within a complex investment environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience with modern data platforms, particularly Microsoft Fabric, combined with previous experience working within the Private Equity sector.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain scalable data and analytics solutions.
- Build and maintain data pipelines and transformation processes using Microsoft Fabric.
- Work across data ingestion, transformation, modelling and analytics.
- Develop robust and reusable data models to support reporting and analytical requirements.
- Work with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate these into technical solutions.
- Ensure data solutions are reliable, scalable and maintainable.
- Support the continued development of the organisation's modern data platform.
- Apply best practices around data quality, testing, documentation and governance.
- Work with large and complex datasets to support data-driven decision-making.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the firm's data and analytics capabilities.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as an Analytics Engineer, Data Engineer or similar.
- Previous experience within Private Equity.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric.
- Strong SQL and data transformation experience.
- Strong Power BI experience, including data modelling and reporting.
- Experience working with Microsoft Azure data services.
- Experience building data pipelines and working with modern data platforms.
- Strong understanding of data modelling and analytics engineering principles.
- Experience translating business requirements into technical data solutions.
- Strong understanding of data quality, testing and governance.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
