About the Role
Our ESG R&D team builds the technology behind our sustainability and climate intelligence solutions, helping organisations understand and reduce their environmental impact. We are a collaborative team of engineers and data specialists working closely with product and sustainability experts to turn complex environmental data into meaningful insights for customers around the world.
We work as a distributed team across the UK and Canada, combining strong technical expertise with a shared commitment to solving real-world problems.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain reliable data pipelines and transformations, ensuring sustainability and climate datasets are accurate, scalable, and available for analytics and reporting.
- Design and manage analytics-ready data models and datasets that support dashboards, reporting, and product features across the ESG platform.
- Deliver clear and reliable analytics outputs, including dashboards and visualisations that turn complex environmental data into actionable, decision-ready insights.
- Maintain high standards of data quality and governance, implementing validation, monitoring, and documentation to ensure trusted and well-understood datasets.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and domain experts to integrate data capabilities into the ESG platform and support the delivery of new analytics features.
What we're looking for:
Professional Experience:
- Typically, 3–6 years of experience in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, Data Analytics, or a similar data-focused role.
- Experience working with sustainability, ESG, or geospatial (GIS) data is advantageous, highly desirable.
- Experience building data pipelines, transformations, and analytics datasets in production environments.
- Experience working with cloud-based data platforms, ideally within SaaS or product-led organisations.
- Experience collaborating with software engineers, product managers, and analysts to deliver data-driven features and insights.
- Experience working with modern engineering practices such as version control, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
Technical Experience:
- Experience working with modern data platforms and tooling such as Airflow, dbt, AWS, Amazon Redshift, and PostgreSQL.
- Experience developing data pipelines and transformations using Python or similar data processing languages.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with large datasets.
- Experience building analytics-ready data models and curated datasets for reporting and product features.
- Experience working with BI and analytics tools, with Amazon QuickSight preferred, though experience with other platforms such as Looker, Power BI, or Tableau is also valuable.
- Familiarity with data warehouse and lake architectures and best practices for scalable data modelling.
- Experience working with Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
