Analytics Engineer
Short-Term Contract - Outside IR35
UK / Fully Remote
We're working with a fast-growing consultancy who are looking for two experienced Analytics Engineers to join on a short-term contract, with an immediate start.
This is a technical analytics engineering role focused on data modelling, dbt, BigQuery, and Looker. The data has already been lifted and shifted, so the focus will be on building robust models, improving the existing data environment, and working closely with the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and develop scalable data models using dbt
- Work extensively across BigQuery / GCP
- Develop and maintain models for reporting and analytics
- Work with Looker to support business reporting and insights
- Refactor and improve existing data models and transformations
- Translate business requirements into effective technical data solutions
- Work closely with stakeholders across the business
- Improve data quality, structure, and usability
- Support the wider analytics engineering function across a fast-moving environment

Key Experience
- Strong commercial experience as an Analytics Engineer
- Excellent dbt experience
- Strong BigQuery / GCP experience
- Experience working with Looker
- Strong understanding of data modelling and analytics engineering
- Comfortable working directly with business stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and get up to speed quickly
- Strong SQL skills
- Experience working within fast-paced consultancy or delivery environments

- Previous consultancy experience
