This is an excellent opportunity for an Analytics Engineer to join a highly data-driven organisation where analytics is central to commercial decision-making. You'll focus on building scalable data models, improving analytics capabilities, and helping shape the foundations that enable analysts and stakeholders to make better decisions across the business.

The Role

As an Analytics Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining analytical data models that support reporting, decision-making, and advanced analytics across the organisation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building and maintaining robust data models and ELT/ETL pipelines using dbt and SQL
  • Collaborating closely with Data Engineering teams to ensure data is structured and prepared for analytical use
  • Supporting analysts through Looker and LookML development
  • Delivering data solutions aligned to business projects and strategic initiatives
  • Improving automation and processes related to analytics and AI-enabled tools
  • Working with orchestration technologies and supporting wider analytics engineering initiatives
  • Contributing to the scalability and reliability of the organisation's analytics foundations

Your Skills & Experience

To be successful in this Analytics Engineer role, you should have:

  • Strong commercial experience building and maintaining ELT/ETL pipelines
  • Advanced SQL skills and confidence working with large-scale datasets
  • Hands-on experience with dbt
  • Strong experience with Looker and LookML
  • Experience developing analytical data models for business and analytics users
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Airflow, Cloud Composer, or similar orchestration tools
  • Kafka
  • Analytics-focused AI applications, conversational analytics, or chatbot context management
  • Modern cloud-based data environments
