We’re looking for an Analytics Engineer to develop and maintain high-quality reporting, semantic models and analytical solutions that support business decision making across VIVID. Working closely with Data Engineers, stakeholders and decision-makers, you'll ensure our data is accessible, reliable and delivers meaningful business insight.

Contractually based out of our Basingstoke office, this is a full-time permanent role working 37 hours per week and allows for a mix of office and home working.

Here’s The Facts About The Role

The Analytics Engineer will primarily focus on Power BI development while working alongside Data Engineers to develop sustainable, analytics-ready data models, support data migration and validation activities, and contribute to improving data quality and consistency

You'll design, build and maintain Power BI semantic models, datasets and reporting solutions that provide reliable, actionable insights to support business decision-making. Working closely with stakeholders across the organisation, you'll gather reporting requirements, translate business needs into analytical solutions, and communicate findings in a clear and meaningful way.

Using SQL extensively, and with opportunities to develop your Python skills, you'll help create reusable data products that enable self-service reporting and analytics. You'll also play a key role in driving continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for automation, enhancing reporting processes, staying up to date with developments in Power BI, Microsoft Fabric and Databricks, and exploring emerging capabilities in AI and advanced analytics. Throughout your work, you'll ensure compliance with relevant legal, regulatory and organisational requirements while helping to build a modern, scalable analytics environment.

To succeed in this role, you'll have proven experience developing Power BI semantic models, reports and dashboards, as well as working closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective reporting solutions. We are seeking someone who can combine technical expertise with a strong understanding of business needs, ensuring data is accessible, reliable and delivers real value. Strong communication skills, a collaborative approach and a passion for continuous improvement will help you succeed in this role.
