About MPLC

MPLC is the legal way to show movies and TV in public or commercial spaces across the globe. For over 30 years, we’ve been the trusted partner to major Hollywood studios, independent producers, and the wider creative ecosystem, ensuring content creators are paid fairly and organisations respect copyright.

About Global Technology Services

GTS is technology at MPLC, all of it. And we are honest about where we are: we are rebuilding and elevating our technology capability, from the ground up and by design. New platforms, new data foundations, new roles: this team is being built for what MPLC becomes, not what it was. You will own real outcomes early, automate the repetitive rather than absorb it, and help shape the rebuild rather than inherit someone else’s. Technology is the engine of how MPLC grows. People are the fuel. AI is the turbocharger. That is where you come in.

The Role in Two Bullet Points

  • Build and own MPLC's analytics platform, creating trusted, governed data that supports reporting, decision-making and future AI capabilities.
  • Replace manual reporting processes with automated, reliable data products that give every part of the business confidence in the numbers they're using.

We're looking for an Analytics Engineer to help build the foundations of our modern data platform.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Reporting to the CIO, you'll own the analytics platform end-to-end, from data ingestion and modelling through to reporting, governance and data quality. Working closely with Revenue Operations, Finance and senior stakeholders, you'll help define the metrics that matter and ensure everyone is working from the same trusted source of truth.

We're building on Snowflake and connecting data from across the business, including CRM, finance and communication platforms. Your goal is simple: make sure a number is defined once, trusted by everyone and never has to be rebuilt manually.

This is an opportunity to join at an exciting stage in our growth. You'll help shape the platform, influence how data is used across the business and create the foundations that support future self-service analytics, forecasting and AI-driven capabilities.

You'll love this role if...

  • You have strong SQL skills and experience working with a modern cloud data warehouse, ideally Snowflake.
  • You have experience with dbt or a similar data modelling framework.
  • You care about what a metric means, not just whether a pipeline runs successfully.
  • You enjoy working directly with business stakeholders to solve problems and improve decision-making.
  • You have a natural instinct to automate repetitive processes and improve the way things work.
  • You like taking ownership and seeing the impact of your work.
  • You're excited by the opportunity to help build a modern data capability from the ground up.

  • This isn't a dashboard production role. We care more about trusted numbers than endless visualisations.
  • You'll be MPLC's primary Analytics Engineer, so you'll need to be comfortable taking ownership and working independently.
  • Some reporting processes are still manual today, and you'll be expected to challenge and improve them.
  • We're still building our technology foundations, so you'll be helping shape the future rather than stepping into a finished environment.
  • You'll spend as much time agreeing business definitions and understanding what metrics mean as you will writing SQL.

• Salary band: £50,000–£75,000 depending on experience. • Remote Working with occasional travel. • 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays • Private medical insurance (AXA), including dental, optical and 24/7 GP access. • Life assurance at 3x base salary (Legal & General). • Salary sacrifice pension with Aviva, 4% employer contribution.
