Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking an Analytics Manager to lead a team of analysts within VML Data. This role involves:
- Analysing clients’ data to derive value from marketing activities
- Prioritising projects based on expected business impact
- Resource allocation based on skills and specialisations
Role Overview
As Analytics Manager, you will:
- Lead end-to-end measurement & insight projects across marketing activities
- Work with data strategists and consultants to answer critical business questions
- Ensure optimal use of data to align with client visions
- Mentor and manage a diverse team of analysts, fostering high-quality output and continuous growth
- Collaborate with clients and agency stakeholders (account, strategy, delivery teams) to embed a data-driven culture

This is a technically grounded role focused on web analytics, requiring experience with: ✅ Large data sets ✅ Web analytics tools (Google Analytics, etc.) ✅ Advanced coding languages (Python, SQL, BigQuery preferred)
What You’ll Be Doing
Team & Project Management
- ✔ Manage a team of analysts to ensure high-quality, optimal outputs
- ✔ Align projects with KPIs targeted at full-funnel optimisation
- ✔ Oversee workload allocation, matching resources (skills & expertise) to projects
- ✔ Upskill the team by addressing evolving trends, particularly AI-driven optimisation
Analysis & Insights
- ✔ Design, manage, and execute end-to-end analysis projects
- ✔ Monitor data quality & consistency, troubleshooting inconsistencies
- ✔ Deliver measurement & effectiveness reports, including:
- Performance dashboards (Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio)
- Deep-dive behavioural evaluations
- ✔ Lead strategic initiatives like segmentation, predictive modelling, and multivariate analysis—utilising statistical techniques to enhance decision-making
Client Collaboration & Strategic Delivery
- ✔ Serve as clients’ trusted advisor on data methodologies
- ✔ Translate data insights into clear, actionable recommendations
- ✔ Present findings to clients, ensuring data-backed business decisions
- ✔ Embed data integration into agency outputs, collaborating with account & strategy teams
Leadership & Development
- ✔ Mentor and develop junior/mid-level analysts
- ✔ Foster a learning culture, encouraging innovation and adaptability
Experience & Requirements
Essential
- 8+ years in marketing, data analysis, or a related field
- Proven management experience as an Analytics Manager or Senior Analyst
- Strong technical skills, including:
- Coding (Python, SQL, BigQuery preferred)
- Web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, etc.)
- Data storytelling ability: translating insights into business-friendly recommendations
- Understanding of AI in optimising operational efficiency
- Proven track record of delivering high-accuracy outputs
- Advanced analytical techniques expertise:
- Customer segmentation
- Predictive modelling
- Multivariate analysis
- A/B testing & statistical significance
- Dashboard automation (Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio)
