About the Service
Our Hawkesbury Lodge Service represents an important investment in supporting people across Coventry and Warwickshire on their recovery journey. Developed in partnership with Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust, the service combines a 14-bed residential rehabilitation service with an integrated Care Hub, providing a welcoming and recovery-focused environment. Together, these services offer personalised support to people living with severe and enduring mental illness, helping them build confidence, develop greater independence, enhance their wellbeing, and take positive steps towards living successfully within their local communities.
How You Will Make a Difference
We're looking for an Ancillary Environment Support Worker to help create and maintain a welcoming, clean and supportive environment at Hawkesbury Lodge. This is more than a cleaning role. Using your own lived experience of mental health challenges or recovery, you'll play an important part in helping people feel at home, build confidence and take positive steps towards greater independence.
Every interaction matters. Whether you're maintaining communal spaces, supporting residents to take pride in their own environment or simply offering encouragement through informal conversations, you'll be contributing to a service that puts recovery, wellbeing and dignity at its heart.

Key Responsibilities
- Help maintain clean, safe and welcoming communal areas across the service.
- Support residents to engage with everyday living tasks and take ownership of their environment.
- Promote wellbeing through positive informal engagement and encouragement.
- Use your lived experience appropriately to inspire hope and support recovery.
- Identify and report maintenance, health and safety or environmental concerns.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the service remains a supportive and therapeutic environment.
- Follow infection control, health and safety and safeguarding procedures at all times.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Have lived experience of mental health challenges and/or recovery.
- Understand the importance of recovery-focused support.
- Can build positive relationships and encourage others in a respectful and compassionate way.
- Have experience of cleaning, housekeeping or facilities support, or are willing to learn.
- Understand the importance of health and safety, hygiene and infection control.
- Are reliable, organised and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Experience, either paid or voluntary, supporting vulnerable adults or children.
