Android Engineer

Are you a passionate Android developer with strong Kotlin expertise and experience building scalable mobile applications used by millions of customers? We are seeking an Android Engineer to join the Grocery & Retail domain, helping deliver seamless digital experiences that connect customers and retail partners. Working within a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment across multiple international locations, you will contribute to the design, development, delivery, and ongoing optimization of mobile features that support large-scale retail and catalog enablement platforms.
The ideal candidate combines expertise in Android development, Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, modern Android architecture, microservices integration, CI/CD, and mobile product development with strong ownership and collaboration skills.
Key Responsibilities
Android Application Development
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Android applications.
- Build scalable, secure, and reliable mobile features.
- Deliver customer-facing functionality that supports Grocery & Retail experiences.
- Maintain high standards for performance, usability, and maintainability.
- Contribute throughout the complete software development lifecycle.
Product Feature Development
- Partner with Product Managers and engineering teams to define and build new features.
- Participate in product discovery workshops and technical discussions.
- Translate business requirements into effective mobile solutions.
- Improve and extend existing features based on user needs and feedback.
- Contribute to product innovation initiatives.
Technical Ownership
- Take end-to-end ownership of assigned features and components.
- Manage delivery timelines and technical execution.
- Ensure solutions meet quality, scalability, and performance expectations.
- Drive features from design through deployment and production support.
- Monitor post-release performance and stability.

API & Backend Integration
- Integrate Android applications with backend services within a microservices environment.

- Collaborate closely with backend engineering teams.
Testing & Quality Assurance
- Develop and maintain:
- Unit Tests

CI/CD & Release Management

Experimentation & A/B Testing

Production Support & Monitoring
- Support applications after deployment.
