About The Role
We are seeking a talented Android Developer to join the core Android team at Just Eat. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing, maintaining, and enhancing our Android applications to deliver a superior user experience. Your responsibilities will span the entire software development lifecycle, including collaborating with product managers, UX designers, and other engineers to define requirements, design solutions, and implement features. You will also play a vital role in configuring our continuous integration (CI) systems, shaping the architectural direction of our Android applications, and ensuring reliable deployment to the Google Play and Huawei app stores. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence the technical strategy, contribute to best practices, and be part of a vibrant engineering community dedicated to innovation and excellence.

Qualifications
- Proven experience in Android development using Kotlin
- Strong understanding of Android architecture patterns such as MVI and MVVM
- Experience with Jetpack Compose for modern UI development
- Knowledge of integrating with server-side APIs within a Microservices architecture
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD practices and tools to automate testing and deployment
- Familiarity with writing unit and integration tests to ensure code quality
- Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Android applications that meet business needs and user expectations
- Write clean, efficient, and scalable code following best practices and coding standards
- Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and incorporate suggestions to improve code quality
- Identify, analyze, and resolve bugs and technical issues promptly to ensure smooth app operation
- Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and other engineers to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our CI/CD pipelines, automating testing and deployment processes for reliable releases
- Help define and implement architectural best practices, ensuring maintainability and scalability of the codebase
- Stay updated with the latest Android development trends and incorporate innovative solutions into projects
