Android Engineer
We are looking for an Android Engineer to develop and enhance mobile applications used by millions of customers worldwide. We are seeking someone with strong technical expertise and creativity, who enjoys solving complex problems and working with modern technologies. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering exceptional user experiences, takes pride in writing clean and maintainable code, and is eager to contribute ideas within a collaborative engineering environment.
You will work closely with designers, product owners, QA engineers, and fellow developers in a fast-paced, agile team environment. Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and improve mobile application features while applying modern Android development practices. You should be comfortable working through ambiguity, iterating quickly on solutions, and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain high-quality Android applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver new features and enhancements.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while continuously improving existing solutions.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues and defects.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and engineering best practices.
- Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Work with both modern and legacy codebases.
- Develop and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure software quality.
- Integrate mobile applications with backend APIs and services.
- Design scalable solutions for complex and open-ended business requirements.

Required Experience & Skills
- Experience building and maintaining Android applications.
- Strong proficiency in Android development using Kotlin.
- Experience with build tools such as Gradle, GitHub Actions, and CircleCI.
- Understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices.
- Experience with asynchronous programming and reactive development patterns.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with performance analysis and application optimization.
- Ability to work with and modernize legacy codebases.
- Experience writing unit, integration, and automated tests.
- Familiarity with open-source frameworks and development practices.
- Experience working within globally distributed teams.
- Strong self-management, communication, and time management skills.
- Experience integrating mobile applications with backend services and RESTful APIs.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
