About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Developer to join our London-based hybrid team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying high-quality Android features and services. Your expertise will help shape the mobile experience for our clients, ensuring scalable, efficient, and innovative solutions. You will work closely with a diverse team of developers, including React Native and Flutter specialists, to enhance our mobile ecosystem and deliver seamless user experiences. The ideal candidate will have a passion for modern Android architecture, clean coding practices, and mentoring peers to foster a collaborative and productive work environment.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in Android development with a proven track record of delivering high-quality mobile applications. A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Candidates should have extensive experience with Java and Kotlin, familiarity with Android Studio, and a solid understanding of RESTful APIs and third-party libraries. Knowledge of modern Android architecture components, such as ViewModel, LiveData, and Room, is essential. Experience with hybrid mobile frameworks like React Native and Flutter is advantageous. Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset are critical for success in this role.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Developer at JobCubby, your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable Android applications and features that meet business requirements and user needs.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other developers, to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Mentoring junior developers and peers, sharing best practices, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Optimizing application performance, ensuring robustness, and maintaining high standards of code quality through code reviews and testing.
  • Integrating Android applications with backend services and third-party APIs to enable seamless functionality.
  • Staying updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies to continually enhance our mobile offerings.
  • Participating in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, to ensure timely project delivery.
