About The Role

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Android Developer to contribute to the development and enhancement of our flagship Android application and internal tooling. In this role, you will be instrumental in building new features and products from scratch, ensuring they are configurable, scalable, and maintainable. You will own projects end-to-end, collaborating closely with small, agile teams across the organization, including designers, QA engineers, and iOS developers, to deliver seamless and feature-rich experiences. Your contributions will directly impact our product's quality, security, and accessibility, supporting our mission to deliver innovative solutions to our users worldwide.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in Android development with a strong portfolio of applications.
  • Deep understanding of Android libraries and technologies such as Dagger, Realm, Retrofit, Coil, Compose, Coroutines, XML layouts, and RxJava2.
  • Experience with Espresso for UI/E2E testing and JUnit for unit testing.
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
  • Familiarity with CI automations, SDK development, and tooling.
  • Experience working with internationalization and contributing to open-source software is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a self-driven approach and ownership mindset.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a willingness to share knowledge across teams.
  • Understanding of security best practices across all application layers and focus on accessibility.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the award-winning Android app and internal tools.
  • Build new features and products from scratch, ensuring configurability and scalability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers and iOS engineers, to maintain feature parity and enhance user experience.
  • Own projects from conception through deployment, providing insights and making necessary project decisions.
  • Implement security measures and accessibility standards across all application layers.
  • Write, review, and ship high-quality code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
  • Develop SDKs tailored for international banking clients, supporting diverse markets.
  • Work on improving CI automations, tooling, and developing Android component libraries.
  • Participate in weekly team meetings to discuss pain points, project progress, and potential improvements.
  • Attend conferences and meet-ups to stay updated with industry trends and share knowledge with the team.
