About The Role
We are seeking a talented Android Developer specialized in AI applications to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for owning the Android client experience, shaping how AI feels, behaves, and performs on mobile devices. This is not a superficial client role; rather, you will develop a production-level Android application where AI interactions are central to the product. Your work will directly influence the user experience, ensuring that AI-powered features such as chat, vision, voice, and recommendations are seamlessly integrated, performant, and reliable. You will collaborate closely with backend and machine learning engineers to deliver a cohesive, high-quality product that meets the demands of real-world use cases. Your expertise will help optimize app performance, responsiveness, and security, ensuring a scalable solution that consistently delivers value to users worldwide.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 3+ years of professional Android development experience using Kotlin.
- Hands-on experience in integrating AI features, including large language models (LLMs), vision, and speech APIs.
- Strong understanding of asynchronous programming paradigms such as Coroutines and Flow.
- Proficiency with REST or gRPC APIs and handling structured data formats.
- Exceptional debugging and performance profiling skills to ensure smooth user experiences.
- Experience working in environments with latency, partial failures, and non-deterministic behavior.
- Familiarity with on-device inference frameworks such as MLKit or TensorFlow Lite.
- Track record of publishing production Android apps on the Google Play Store.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-quality, production-ready Android applications using Kotlin, ensuring stability and performance.
- Integrate AI-powered features including chat, vision, voice, and recommendations via backend APIs.
- Design and implement user experience patterns for AI interactions, including streaming responses, retries, and partial results.
- Optimize app performance, memory usage, and responsiveness, particularly for AI-heavy workflows.
- Implement analytics, logging, and user feedback mechanisms to support continuous AI evaluation and iteration.
- Collaborate closely with backend and machine learning teams to define API contracts and system behaviors.
- Ensure app security, stability, and scalability in a production environment, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to uphold high engineering standards.
