  • Prepare, check, and set up all anaesthetic equipment and medications prior to each procedure.
  • Maintain stock of drugs and consumables, handling and administering medications, including controlled drugs, in line with hospital policies and protocols.

  • Assist with pre-procedure preparation, confirming that patients are appropriately assessed, consented, and ready for their procedure.
  • Participate in the safe transfer and positioning of patients onto the procedure table, ensuring pressure areas are protected and patient comfort is maintained.

  • Continuously monitor the patient’s level of consciousness, cardiorespiratory status, and comfort during sedated cases, intervening promptly if deeper sedation or adverse reactions occur.
  • Ensure all observations and drugs given during sedation cases are meticulously documented.
  • Adhere strictly to infection prevention and control standards in the Cath Lab environment. Ensure all anaesthetic and monitoring equipment is cleaned and decontaminated appropriately between cases to prevent cross-infection.
  • Observe radiation safety protocols at all times.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical documentation for each case. Record any variances, complications, or changes in patient condition in a clear, timely manner.
  • Ensure all records meet legal, professional, and organisational requirements for confidentiality and completeness.
  • Be prepared to respond swiftly and effectively to any intra-procedure emergencies or patient deterioration. As a key team member, participate actively in resuscitation efforts in accordance with Advanced Life Support guidelines.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
