About The Role
As an Animal Attendant, you’ll play an important role in keeping our hospital clean, safe and comfortable for our patients, clients and team.

You’ll work closely with our veterinary team to ensure patients are cared for and the hospital is maintained to a high standard.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Maintaining the cleanliness of animal enclosures, treatment areas and hospital facilities.
- Cleaning and maintaining equipment in line with hospital standards.
- Washing, drying and restocking patient bedding and towels.
- Following infection control, workplace health and safety and biological waste procedures.
- Safely handling and disposing of sharps, medical waste and other hazardous materials.
- Restocking hospital supplies and keeping areas organised.
- Assisting with the safe handling and restraint of animals when required.
About You
You’ll be someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a team. You’ll be happy to get stuck in, support your colleagues and do what’s needed to keep the hospital running smoothly.
We’re Looking For Someone Who Has
- A strong work ethic and a positive, team-focused attitude.
- Good attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- The resilience to work comfortably in a busy emergency hospital, including exposure to the sights, sounds and smells that come with veterinary medicine.
- A willingness to learn and follow established procedures.
- Good communication and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Availability to work 6am–12pm shifts across Monday to Sunday.
