Nursery – Bright Horizons Rose Cottage Day Nursery and Pre School
Salary – From £26,662.20 per annum (dependent on qualification/s and experience)
Hours – 6 hours per week. 1 hour between 7:30am-9:30am Saturday and Sunday, and 1 hour between 6pm-7:30pm Saturday and Sunday evenings. A couple of hours midweek to clean animal enclosures.

The Role
To provide high quality care to a number of animals based at our Rose Cottage Day Nursery to include pygmy goats, khaki Campbell ducks, chickens, and guinea pigs.
Responsible for:
- Feeding the animals between 7:30am-9:30am Saturday and Sunday, and then feeding them between 6pm-7:30pm Saturday and Sunday evenings.
- A few hours midweek to clean all animal enclosures. (this was previously done on a Wednesday)
- Ensuring food and water levels are maintained along with checking that all animal areas are in working order.
- Cleaning all animal areas at some point over the weekend.
- Keeping a record of animal care-related products such as food and bedding. Inform Nursery of what items are needed. Ensure to give enough notice.
- Ensuring the animals are cared for at a high level and reporting any concerns in relation to their health or environment to the Nursery Manager.
- Bank Holiday work required.

What we’re looking for
- Someone who has the ability to communicate to management about how the animals are.
- Someone who can manage animal resources and food and request replenishment when stocks run low without running out.
- Experience caring for animals.
