ANIMAL - GRASSLAND SCIENTIST
Location: AFBI Hillsborough
Hours: 37hrs per week over 5 days may include weekends
Duration: up to 3 months
Pay: £19.59 per hour

Sponsored by the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA), AFBI provides evidence-based research and monitoring that informs government policy and promotes sustainability in Northern Ireland and beyond.

Main duties include:
- Management of grassland and animal experiments
- Emissions data collection and compilation
- Analysis of data
- Report preparation
- Scientific publication within the Grassland Systems Research Unit
Essential Criteria:
- PhD in grassland or animal discipline
- OR
- BSc in Agric Science or Environmental Science AND 2 years management experience of agricultural research trials
- Strong organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver high quality work under tight deadlines
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
