Would you like to take on a self-employed role as an animal welfare auditor for NSF? NSF is seeking experienced auditors with a Lead Auditor qualification and a minimum of five years of practical industry experience.
About the Role
Role Overview
As an independent contractor, you will conduct animal welfare audits at:
- Hatcheries
- Slaughter sites
Audits will take place across:
- The UK, EU, and internationally
This role is well-suited for professionals who already conduct independent auditing for other certification bodies—or those currently balancing auditing with another role.
Key Responsibilities
Your duties as an independent contractor will include:
- Operating under a self-employed contract with NSF
- Completing audits based on your availability, experience scope, and species knowledge
- Ad-hoc work availability throughout the year, driven by programme needs
- Maintaining autonomy and flexibility over workload and audit scheduling
