About The Role

Eccles Sixth Form College is a centre of vocational excellence, with courses in Animal Management, Equine, Sport, Business & Travel, Health & Social, and Entry level skills. As a part of the Animal Management offering, the site plays host to Eccles College Animal Park. Set across four acres of outdoor space, and 4 specialist inside spaces, the park is home to more than 500 individual animals representing over 110 species, including: Camelids, Marmosets, Capybara, Argentine Black & White Tegu, Skunks, Clownfish, Cheesemans Gerbil, and Red Eyed Crocodile Skinks.

In addition to supporting our students with their Exotic and Rodent skills, the college works with a range of rare British livestock breeds, including English Goats, Portland Sheep and Soay Sheep, with the college’s first lambing in February 2025, and first kidding in May 2026.
