Anti-Crime Specialist

We are looking to appoint an experienced and accredited Anti-Crime Specialist to join the 360 Assurance bank for a fixed-term period to cover an increase in demand. This is an opportunity to support NHS and wider public sector clients in the delivery of high-quality counter fraud services, helping organisations prevent, detect and respond effectively to fraud, bribery and corruption, as well as related risks.

The post holder will work with a high degree of autonomy, while remaining part of a supportive and experienced anti-crime team.

Applicants should be accredited as a Counter Fraud Specialist or hold an equivalent qualification acceptable to NHS Counter Fraud Authority requirements. You will need practical experience of counter fraud work, strong investigative and analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities across a range of client environments.

This fixed term post would suit a professional who can work flexibly, independently and to a high standard, while maintaining confidentiality, discretion and a strong customer-focused approach. Travel to client sites across the Midlands and South Yorkshire may be required.

Responsibilities

• Produce and deliver risk-based operational work plans of counter fraud and/or security management activity for each client and develop and implement an ongoing programme of work to help deter and prevent fraud, bribery and corruption and/or security breaches across a number of clients.
• Develop, co-ordinate and undertake proactive work (mandatory, local and ad-hoc) to detect cases of potential fraud, bribery and corruption, and/or deter and prevent security breaches utilising appropriate intelligence and IT facilities, particularly where system weaknesses have been identified.
• Undertake work to create and maintain an anti-crime culture, by establishing a baseline awareness and by proactively developing and delivering appropriate presentations and publicity material, including details of ongoing and completed work, to raise anti-crime awareness and reinforce the message that fraud, bribery and corruption and security breaches are unacceptable and will not be tolerated. The use of local and national media should be considered for publicising successful criminal prosecutions (after taking appropriate advice from NHS Counter Fraud Authority).
• Undertake professional investigation of appropriate cases of suspected fraud, bribery and corruption and/or security breaches including production of case files and evidence in appropriate formats.
