Contract KYC & AML Policy and Procedures Consultant

Location: UK (Remote or Hybrid)
Contract: 3 Months
Day Rate: Competitive, dependent on experience

Help Build a Best-in-Class Financial Crime Framework

We are looking for an experienced KYC & AML Policy and Procedures Consultant on a contract basis and play a key role in strengthening our clients financial crime compliance framework.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on compliance professional with experience in UK lending or regulated financial services to design and implement robust KYC, AML and financial crime policies and procedures. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to develop a practical, risk-based framework that supports regulatory compliance while enabling the business to grow.

If you have a strong understanding of Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) expectations and a track record of delivering policy and procedural frameworks within a lender, bank or fintech, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll take ownership of reviewing, developing and implementing our KYC and AML framework, including:

  • Reviewing our existing financial crime controls and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Drafting and implementing KYC, AML and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) policies and procedures.
  • Developing Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) processes for higher-risk customers.
  • Designing practical operational procedures and guidance for customer onboarding and ongoing monitoring.
  • Creating customer risk assessment methodologies and a risk-based approach to compliance.
  • Reviewing sanctions, politically exposed persons (PEP) and adverse media screening processes.
  • Developing governance, escalation and reporting procedures.
  • Producing clear, high-quality documentation suitable for internal governance, audit and regulatory review.
  • Working collaboratively with Compliance, Risk, Operations and senior leadership to embed the new framework.
  • Supporting implementation and knowledge transfer across the business where required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
