AML Officer / Nominated Officer (NO) / PML Holder
Swifty Global (UK) Ltd is seeking an experienced AML Officer / Nominated Officer (NO) to support the company’s UK regulatory and anti-money laundering framework.
The successful candidate will hold, or be capable of obtaining, the appropriate UK Gambling Commission Personal Management Licence (PML) and will take responsibility for the company's day-to-day AML oversight, suspicious activity reporting framework and associated regulatory obligations.
The role requires strong practical knowledge of the UK gambling sector, UKGC requirements, AML/CTF legislation and risk-based compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the company's Nominated Officer for AML purposes.
- Hold or obtain the appropriate UKGC Personal Management Licence (PML).
- Oversee the company's AML and counter-terrorist financing framework.
- Maintain and periodically review the company's AML risk assessment, policies, procedures and controls.
- Review internal suspicious activity reports and determine whether external disclosure to the National Crime Agency (NCA) is required.
- Submit SARs where appropriate and maintain appropriate records of decisions and supporting rationale.
- Provide advice and guidance to management and operational teams regarding AML, sanctions, customer risk and suspicious activity.
- Monitor compliance with applicable UKGC Licence Conditions and Codes of Practice, AML legislation and relevant UKGC guidance.
- Review higher-risk customers, transactions and activity requiring enhanced AML consideration.
- Support the development of proportionate CDD, EDD and Source of Funds / Source of Wealth procedures.
- Review AML alerts, escalations and unusual transaction patterns.
- Ensure AML decisions are documented clearly and supported by appropriate evidence.
- Assist with regulatory submissions, key events and information requests where relevant to the role.
- Support and participate in UKGC compliance assessments, audits and regulatory reviews.
- Work with Compliance, Operations, Payments, Safer Gambling, Fraud and senior management to ensure regulatory controls operate effectively.
- Assist with AML training and ensure relevant employees understand their obligations and escalation responsibilities.
- Monitor regulatory developments and recommend changes to policies, procedures and systems where required.
- Provide regular AML reporting and management information to senior management and the Board.
- Maintain appropriate independence and escalation routes for material compliance concerns.

Required Experience
- Strong experience in AML, financial crime or regulatory compliance.
- Good working knowledge of UK AML/CTF requirements.
- Experience applying a risk-based AML framework in a regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of CDD, EDD, Source of Funds, Source of Wealth, sanctions screening and suspicious activity reporting.
- Experience reviewing complex customer or transactional activity and making documented risk decisions.
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior management, regulators and operational teams.
- Strong written skills and the ability to produce clear regulatory documentation and decision records.
- High level of integrity, judgement and attention to detail.
Preferred Experience
The following would be considered highly advantageous:

- Previous experience within online gambling, sportsbook or casino.
- Previous experience as an MLRO, Deputy MLRO, Nominated Officer or senior AML professional.
- Existing UKGC Personal Management Licence.
- Previous involvement in a UK Gambling Commission compliance assessment or audit.
- Experience dealing directly with the UKGC and/or NCA.
- Experience working within a technology-led or multi-brand gambling environment.
- Familiarity with gambling-specific risks including customer affordability, payment risks, value cycling, third-party funding and unusual betting or withdrawal activity.

- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the wider compliance and management teams.
Regulatory Responsibility
The position is a regulated role and the successful candidate will be expected to meet the UK Gambling Commission's suitability requirements for relevant personal management responsibilities.
The individual will be expected to maintain sufficient knowledge, availability and oversight to properly discharge the responsibilities associated with the role and any applicable PML management functions.
