Role Overview
We are seeking AP Tutors across a wide range of subjects.
As a Crimson AP Tutor, you will work with highly motivated students from around the world, helping them achieve subject mastery, improve academic performance, and prepare for high-stakes exams. This is a flexible, part-time, hourly, remote contractor position ideal for experienced educators or career tutors with a proven track record of driving outstanding student outcomes.
Tutors will work with students globally, providing high-quality academic support in a flexible schedule that can be adapted around existing commitments.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, personalized tutoring sessions (1:1 or small group) tailored to each student’s curriculum, level, and goals
- Assess student needs, strengths, and weaknesses to create effective lesson plans
- Monitor and track student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
- Communicate professionally with students, parents, and Crimson’s internal staff to align on expectations and outcomes
- Maintain professional standards, punctuality, and reliability in all tutoring engagements
- Stay current with relevant curriculum requirements, exam formats, and teaching methods in your subject area

Key Performance Indicators
- Measurable improvement in student performance relative to internal assessments, mock exams, and official test results
- A significant proportion of students are achieving top percentile results or exceeding targeted score thresholds
- Positive feedback ratings from students and parents (measured through post-session surveys and internal reviews)
- 100% on-time delivery of scheduled sessions with minimal cancellations or reschedules
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university
- Certified teaching credentials or demonstrable professional tutoring experience with a strong record of student success, including an AP score of 5 in the relevant subject(s).
- Strong command of online teaching platforms and digital learning tools
- Outstanding communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly
- Cultural competency and experience working with international students
- Minimum availability of 10 hours per week with flexibility across time zones
- Professional work-from-home setup, including:
- Reliable high-speed internet connection
- Computer with a functioning webcam and microphone
- Quiet, distraction-free environment suitable for professional instruction
