About Zymix
Zymix is the definitive lifestyle ecosystem for the digital generation—bridging the gap between social connection and real-world experience. Transcending the "Super App" model, Zymix fuses hyper-social interaction with a seamless service layer, empowering global youth to integrate a wide range of services beyond social networking, discover AI-curated experiences, and unlock essential services in one fluid motion. We are redefining the platform economy by prioritising authenticity, community, and friction-free living.
About the role
The App Accountant owns the accounting for everything that happens inside the ZYMIX app: in-app purchases, wallet activity, ticketing and events, rewards points, and payouts to creators, merchants and partners. You will turn platform and payment-provider data into accurate, reconciled books every month.
This is a hands-on role in a small finance team. It suits someone who likes tracing a number from the transaction log to the ledger and fixing the process when the two disagree.
Key responsibilities…
App revenue and platform reconciliation
- Record and reconcile in-app purchase revenue from Apple App Store and Google Play, including platform commission, refunds, chargebacks and foreign-exchange differences.
- Reconcile app back-end transaction data to store payout reports, payment-provider statements and bank receipts, and clear breaks promptly.
- Apply revenue recognition correctly to virtual items, coins, gifts, subscriptions, ticket sales and mini-app income, including principal versus agent assessments.
- Maintain deferred revenue and liability balances for unspent virtual currency, rewards points and unredeemed tickets.
Wallet and user funds
- Reconcile wallet balances daily against the payment provider and safeguarded accounts, keeping user funds clearly separate from company funds.
- Account for top-ups, transfers, withdrawals, fees and failed or reversed transactions.
- Support the compliance team with financial data for e-money regulatory reporting in the UK and Gibraltar.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
