App Developer – Founding Developer (Remote)

I’m looking to connect with an experienced full-stack developer who would be interested in joining an exciting long-term project from approximately April 2027.

I’m currently building CCDesigner – a platform designed to transform how teachers discover, plan and deliver creative learning by bringing together outstanding resources from arts organisations, music hubs, cultural partners and experienced teachers into one intelligent planning environment.

The prototype is already live at:

www.ccdesigner.co.uk

Prototype password: artscouncil26

At this stage I’m simply making contacts and having conversations with developers who may be interested in becoming involved as the project progresses.

About Rhythmstix

Rhythmstix develops educational technology and creative resources that support music, drama and the wider performing arts.

Alongside publishing classroom resources and musicals, I’m currently developing a suite of applications including:

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

  • CCDesigner – Creative curriculum planning platform
  • Assessify – Assessment, reporting and progress tracking
  • PeriFeedback – Feedback and assessment for peripatetic music services

The longer-term vision is to create a connected ecosystem that supports arts education from Early Years through to post-16, while strengthening links between schools, music hubs, theatres, orchestras, cultural organisations and independent content creators.

The Opportunity

This isn’t a typical software development role.

I’m looking for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, building elegant user experiences and helping shape a product from the ground up.

You’ll work alongside me as the platform evolves from prototype into a production-ready application, helping design the architecture, build new features and influence technical decisions from day one.

Current development includes:

  • Interactive curriculum and lesson planning tools
  • AI-assisted planning features
  • Resource libraries
  • Partner organisation hubs
  • Assessment and reporting systems
  • Calendar and event integration
  • User accounts, permissions and subscriptions
  • Future mobile applications

Skills & Experience

Ideally you’ll have experience with:

  • Modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Next.js or similar)
  • TypeScript
  • Front-end development with HTML/CSS
  • Responsive UI/UX
  • Database design (Supabase/PostgreSQL or similar)
  • API development and integrations
  • Authentication and cloud deployment
  • Git and collaborative workflows
  • Building scalable web applications

Experience with AI technologies, educational software or SaaS products would be advantageous, but enthusiasm for building something meaningful is just as important.

If you’re interested in creating technology that genuinely supports teachers and helps strengthen arts education, I’d love to hear from you.
