About the role
We are seeking a diligent and customer-focused experienced PCN Appeals Officer to join our Parking Services team. This important role involves reviewing and responding to representations and appeals relating to Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs), ensuring that each case is handled efficiently, fairly and in accordance with statutory guidance, relevant legislation and established procedures. The postholder will also be responsible for supporting the debt registration and enforcement processes.
In this role, you will:
- Review and assess representations against PCNs, applying relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with members of the public, providing accurate information and guidance regarding parking enforcement and representations.
- Prepare written responses to representations, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
- Maintain detailed records of all representations and decisions using company systems.
- Liaise with internal teams and external agencies as required to gather information and resolve cases.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the representations process, identifying opportunities for efficiency or enhanced customer service.
About you
We are looking for someone who:
- Proven experience of processing representations is essential
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to interpret legislation and policy.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with tact and professionalism.
- IT literate, with experience using databases and Microsoft Office.
