Appian Architect

Wipro’s dynamic approach to people, process, and technology has established us as an industry leader. We provide professional services that help enterprises accelerate transformation, modernise processes, and unlock greater value from their technology and data.

We are looking for an experienced Appian Architect to design scalable, secure, and high-performing low-code solutions for complex enterprise requirements. You will own solution architecture across the Appian platform and turn business needs into robust technical designs.

Location: London
Basis: Fixed term contract for 12 months

Key Responsibilities

  • Define end-to-end architecture for large-scale Appian applications.
  • Design Interfaces, SAIL components, Records, and Process Models aligned to business requirements.
  • Establish integration patterns using REST APIs, SOAP services, JSON, and XML.
  • Shape data architecture across Appian and relational database platforms.
  • Provide technical governance across design, build, testing, deployment, and release activities.
  • Drive performance tuning, environment management, and platform optimisation.
  • Work with business and technology stakeholders to communicate architectural decisions, dependencies, and risks.
  • Mentor delivery teams and promote Appian engineering standards and reusable patterns.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong hands-on experience with Appian BPM, including Interfaces, SAIL, Records, and Process Models.
  • Experience designing large-scale enterprise Appian applications.
  • Knowledge of Appian performance tuning, deployment, and environment management.
  • Experience with REST APIs, SOAP services, JSON, and XML.
  • Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MariaDB.
  • Understanding of DevOps concepts, CI/CD, versioning, and release management.
  • Familiarity with AWS or Microsoft Azure is preferred.
  • Strong system design and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into effective technical architecture.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Experience mentoring and leading technical teams.
  • Appian L3 certification is preferred.
  • Cloud or architecture certifications are advantageous.
