Are you an Application Analyst with strong SQL, database and integration experience, ideally within Social Housing?
A Housing Association is looking for a Technical Systems Analyst to join its IT and Data team and play a key role in supporting, maintaining and improving the systems that underpin its housing services.
About the Role
This is a varied technical role combining SQL, database administration, APIs, integrations, application support and troubleshooting, alongside the opportunity to work closely with colleagues across the business.
Housing experience is important, and while NEC is preferred, it can be a different Housing Management System. The key is understanding how a Housing Management System works, how the underlying data is structured and how technology supports processes such as repairs, rents and compliance.
Responsibilities
As Technical Systems Analyst, you'll be responsible for:
- Supporting, maintaining and improving the organisation's Housing Management System and associated applications.
- Using SQL and database knowledge to investigate issues, understand data structures and resolve problems where possible.
- Managing and troubleshooting APIs and integrations between systems, working with software suppliers where required.
- Providing 2nd/3rd line application support and assisting with helpdesk issues across the business.
- Supporting ongoing system improvements, including work around NEC, repairs scheduling, compliance and verification software.
- Supporting the implementation of new functionality, integrations and software in line with business requirements.
- Contributing to upcoming work around risk, servicing and wider improvements to how housing data is managed.
- Working closely with users to understand problems, identify solutions and ensure systems continue to support the needs of the business.

Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong experience in a Technical Systems Analyst, Application Support, Systems or similar role.
- Good SQL and database knowledge, with the ability to investigate issues and understand underlying database structures.
- Experience working with APIs, integrations and how different systems communicate with one another.
- Experience working with a Housing Management System or similar business-critical application. NEC experience is preferred.
- A good understanding of housing processes, ideally including areas such as repairs, rents or compliance.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with users and colleagues across the organisation.
- A proactive, self-starting approach, with the confidence to investigate problems independently and take ownership before escalating where necessary.
- Someone who is willing to go the extra mile to understand an issue and help colleagues find a solution.
